1. Who is the most influential person in your life and why?
The most influential person in my life has to be my mother because I admire her strength and the way she views life. She constantly influences me to become a much better person and to remain strong despite the circumstances.

2. What is the last thing you read, heard, saw or encountered that made you reconsider your values or beliefs? Describe that moment and what you thought.
A couple of days ago I finally saw the video "Formation" by Beyoncé. As a girl of color, I felt deeply connected to it, but because I am not an African American girl it helped me see the beauty in their culture. I watched it multiple times because I just loved it that much. I thought of all the injustices African Americans face because of their skin color, hair texture, etc. although I have always accepted this culture, I just appreciate it way more now and I believe it's important to have celebrities empower people in this form.

3. What or who is the most important thing in your life and why?
My family is extremely important to me. I'm so family oriented because they're people I just enjoy being around. They bring happiness and laughter and they're people I can always count on for anything.

The most influential person in my life would be my mother. She brought my two sisters and I at a young age from the Philippines and raised us all by herself because my dad had to stay behind. Her willingness to raise us without much help took a lot of strength and sacrifice. We all stayed at my grandmothers house until we were finally able to afford moving out. We shared one room amongst us 4 and now we currently live in a house where we each have our own rooms. My moms drive to get us all to a better place is why she has influenced me the most.

These past few months I've been analyzing Kobe Bryant's games very closely. I've always followed him but since this is his last year I've made sure to not miss a game. Many of his opponents in these past years never really showed respect for the guy until now and that to me shows how long he has come. His true work ethic and discipline has made him the person he is today. Also, all the extra time he takes to perfect his craft is one of the many reasons why he is so great at what he does. He has really inspired me to want to pursue all my dreams and give it all I have.

Hard work is the most important thing in my life to me because without it one would not be able to get from point a to point b. I value hard work because it shows how much you really value something.
