Original: The earliest memories of our sibling rivalry began within the womb. There are ultrasounds of us pushing, shoving, and kicking each other. Even elbows were seen crossing the outside of our mom’s abdomen. Our mom swears she gave us some of our attitude and sass through her excessive intake of spicy food because it was the only food that did not give her heartburn. Even though we were developing at the same pace and looked similar in appearance, the differences within our personalities became more noticeable. Once we started learning to crawl, Sydney crawled like any other infant, on her hands and knees, whereas I crawled on my back with my hands over my shoulders and my face up. I’ve always strived to be different from my sister by challenging myself.
