My boyfriend's responses:

1. The most influential person in his life is his dad, because he is the person who sparked his (extreme) interest in sports and coached him in most of those sports too.

2. The last thing that he has heard that made him rethink his beliefs was a conversation with me about politics. For example I am pro choice and he is pro life, and I made some points that made him think that it makes sense in some situations why I person might decide to abort their pregnancy.

3. The most important person in his life is his sister, because she is his only sibling and she is very smart and sometimes surprises him with her creativity for helping other people. For example one of the greatest memories he has of her using her creativity to benefit others was when she made bracelets to sell for their little cousin Julianna who had been fighting cancer at the time and she collected the money she had off the bracelets to send to her little cousin.

My mom's responses:

1. The most influential person in her is her mom, because she was the first woman who my mother saw to have a strong feminine role, especially in the household. Even though her mother was not the "bread-maker", she was more or less the "man of the house" because she was the person with all the power in their house.

2. My mom cannot recall the last thing that made her reconsider her beliefs or values, but she reconsidered her values when raising me because she was brought up in a household with very strict rules and creating a lot of conflict in her relationship with her parents. So, even though she wants to do everything possible to protect me at all costs, she was readjusted her values and beliefs to keep from history repeating itself.

3. As her only daughter, my mom evidently answered with a simple, "you." She tired to put in words her maternal instinct and stated that it's because I am her daughter, she has raised me and protected me all my life and will keep protecting me until the end of her's. Lastly she stated, "You are my life."
