Part 1:
Gang Violence is known throughout the country especially counties in Atlanta. Many young youth has been lured into joining gangs even when they're good kids or have a good family. The way gang members make young female join is to have sextial intercorse with multible members or even male and females will get assaulted and beaten by their own gang to join, which can even start problems in the gang. Some other ways on making the young members join is robbing a store. Gang members usually drop out of school which can affect the school and their own family. Young members are usually getting assaulted and public heath care are not on front line of these incidents. So many data of these incidents are very poor. They say that much of the data comes from death certificates, and using that information can determine the deaths, but current data is lacking to result it in gang violence. They need better data to collect to understand gangs behavior and with that they can increase the interventions implemented and evaluate the problems. Education services can be expanded in vulnerable areas and punishment for gang crimes should be strengthened.

Part 2:
Gang Rescue and Support Project (GRASP)
A non-profit organization, established in 1991
Members: Francisco Gallardo, Johnnie Williams, Pete Reyes, Michelle McDaniel, Jerry Morgan, Ben Lopez, Ron Blan, James Mora.
Address: 303 Colfax ave. 9th floor

GRASP is an intervention program where they work with the youth who are at risk with gang violence. They say this program works because it is run by ex-gang members that turn their lives around after breaking out of the gang life. They work with families of gang victims. They work from supporting/healing circles and even tattoo removals. They want to change the youths lives before the gang life change them and they're prepared to help you in any kind of way.
