Part 1:
Original P: “Money equals happiness,” they say.. I find that quite ironic since money is the main reason for a large sum of divorces in the United States, as well as countless other fights people get themselves into over small, flimsy pieces of paper. I will admit the life of those who don’t have to worry about how much money they can spend when they go out to eat or to the mall, seems pretty nice. In fact, that was my life for the first 12 years or so, but I was too young to understand and appreciate it. Money has been a big factor in shaping the person I am today; As I’m sure it has been for just about every other person on this money-centric planet. Even so, I will continue to write about this very “basic” topic and how it has affected me throughout my life.

Part 2:
On page 126 of "Writing Identities" the characters talk about how "pretending can be an important part of what we call, invention." Playing different roles, going places and on adventures that the writer has not actually experienced, make for inventions. However the images are the characters on a speed boat going to Metaphor's cave, and it doesn't really go with what they are talking about in these scenes.
