Sample and hold: pop music in the digital age of reproduction
Andrew Goodwin. "Sample and hold: pop music in the digital age of reproduction." Critical Quarterly. Google Scholar. Web. 22 Mar 2016.
Pop music has been evolving production wise and story wise. Pop music was in its time of the writing was in " an age of reproduction" but now is in "digital reproduction". This was noticed when the "Compact Disk" was invented in the music industry. Another thing in Pop music that changed was its background in its style/story which "pops historical movement as progress have withered and died" which unfortunately is becoming more empty sounding in its story. This is shown when " today's pop musician are busy blurring historical and cultural boundaries" which is literally taking out any meaning and hiding the problems of the world out of the music of pop.
